You do not need a perfect plan

01.

Perhaps there is an image you cannot stop thinking about. Or perhaps you would simply like some lovely photographs of yourself and are not sure what kind of shoot to choose. Either is a good reason to get in touch. You do not have to be a model or have had a professional photoshoot before.

Your first message is mainly about what you would enjoy: natural portraits, a more styled fashion series or something intimate? What mood appeals to you? If you have saved some reference images, feel free to send them. They give us something to discuss as we develop an approach that feels right for you.

We then talk about the scope of the shoot, possible dates and a location. Dresden offers very different outdoor settings, from quiet green spaces to urban backgrounds. The right choice also depends on the light, season and images you have in mind. If you prefer a studio, we discuss which venue would suit the idea. Costs and what is included are agreed before booking.

Photo Studio, On-Location, or Outdoors?

02.

Whether in a professional photo studio, at a unique location, or out in nature—every photo shoot has its own distinct charm. We will work together to decide which setting best suits you and your vision.

In a photo studio, we have full control over lighting, the background, and the overall atmosphere. This environment offers a wealth of creative possibilities, making it especially well-suited for portrait, fashion, or lingerie shoots. I have had great experiences using rental studios in Leipzig and Halle (Saale), which are excellent for bringing individual concepts to life.

For an on-location shoot, we use a setting of your choice—such as a stylish apartment, a hotel room, a striking building, or any other interesting space. This creates images with a deeply personal atmosphere that stand out from traditional studio photography.

Outdoor shoots, on the other hand, offer an almost endless variety of natural backdrops. Whether in a lush green setting, the heart of the city, by a lake, or amidst impressive architecture, the use of natural light and ever-changing surroundings results in vibrant, authentic images.

Do you already have a specific location in mind? Perfect! If not, we’ll work together to find the ideal spot for your shoot. Ultimately, what matters most is that you feel comfortable and that the resulting images truly reflect who you are.

How we ease into the shoot

03.

Before the day, we agree on outfits and the main practical details. Some things are easy to prepare at home; you will find my suggestions in how to prepare for a photoshoot. You do not need a suitcase full of clothes or a set of poses learnt by heart.

We start with simple photographs. I suggest where to look or how to stand, and we see what feels comfortable for you. Those first few minutes are allowed to be about settling in. Nobody has to know what to do with their hands as soon as the camera comes out.

As we go, we may change the angle, light or outfit where it suits the series. We talk about what is working and what we would like to try next. If a pose feels uncomfortable or you need a break, just say so. I would much rather adjust an idea than have you feel awkward for the sake of a photograph.

Which photographs will you choose?

04.

After the shoot, I prepare the images for you to review. I use PicSnap for this: you receive a gallery link, look through the photographs in your own time and mark your favourites. It saves us from trying to match file numbers to screenshots or messages.

I then edit the final photographs based on our agreement and your selection. We discuss which images are included and when you will receive them for your particular shoot. You can read more about the gallery and handover in Photo delivery with PicSnap.

What to include in your enquiry

05.

It helps to mention the kind of photographs you would like, roughly when you are available and whether you are thinking of an outdoor setting, a studio or another location. If there is a reason for the shoot, such as new portraits or a personal fashion series, tell me about that too. We can work out the remaining details together.

If you already have a date in mind, use the photoshoot enquiry form. It lets you choose a date available for enquiries and the styles of photography you are interested in. Sending an enquiry does not make a confirmed booking; we agree the details personally afterwards.

If you would like to develop a shared creative idea, my page about TFP photoshoots in Dresden explains how that kind of collaboration works and when I am open to a TFP project myself.

Let’s talk about your idea

Tell me what you have in mind. You do not need a fully formed concept yet – a few thoughts or a question are enough to start a conversation.
